APPEARANCE Stands at 5'6", not including his hair. Has a lean and wiry frame, which hides his incredible ability to run for a long period of time. Always has his purple headphones on, whether he's listening to it or hangs it around his neck. Modified his uniform by removing the sleeves and making the jacket into a vest while the bottoms were made into baggy shorts. On his back is a gold and red spider insignia, signifying that he's from the main branch of the Kumori family to those that know of them.

THE PERSONALITY

Neku is a loner, though he is not stubborn enough to refuse help when he needs it or asked; he prefers to work alone when a team is not needed. Because of his ability to run, he tends to cause a trouble then run off whenever he is bored. He is not shy and will say what's on his mind if not told to keep quiet, though he may still open his mouth time to time. If he finds someone he does not like, he will show it by putting on his headphones whenever that person is speaking, even if it's a higher-up.
Because Neku tends to run a lot, he does get hungry very often; his Innocence doesn't help with his growing hunger either. Because he's usually hungry, he'll be very friendly to those that feed him, sometimes even loyal if it's something he likes of he's fed often. He will even sometimes change his opinion of someone based on whether or not the person feeds him or what they feed him, even someone he once hates and disrespects can become someone Neku respects if the person feeds him correctly.

UNACTIVATED The Innocence is embedded into his right palm, forming a green glowing prism. The prism itself does not pose too many problems for Neku's everyday life except when his hand strikes something hard. Neku does not try to hide it, he feels proud that he's an Exorcist, willing to keep it in plain sight. His entire right arm appears normal, but upon closer inspection, the skin from his fingers to his lower jaw is slightly crystallized in small patches and some veins seem to pop out a bit.
ACTIVATED The prism practically explodes outwards and wraps his entire right arm and part of his neck and lower jaw. In place of the prism is an incredibly tiny hole where web-like strings shoot out. His nails change into sharp arching claws with hooks going down each finger for the web to follow. On the back of his hand is a small cylindrical spindle that never seems to empty out. Inside his mouth and under his tongue, part of his Innocence merged with the salivary gland and allowed it to create the same threads his hand can make, at the cost of drying up his mouth with the lack of saliva. The Innocence is entirely black with streams of purple running down his arm. The threads that form the webs seem may look thin and fragile, but they are as hard as titanium once exposed to oxygen. The threads can be retracted from anywhere as long as he is not beyond fifty feet away from it. The threads themselves are slightly invisible to the naked eye, but they glimmer under the sun.


OVERALL ABILITY Arachnophobia is basically an area-wide trapping and detecting weapon that allows both defensive and offensive techniques.

Area's Web By creating a large amount of threads, Neku covers a wide area with his web, creating a large net that allows him to sense any amount of movement as well as allowing him to selectively encase anyone within his spider web. Unfortunately, the only way Neku can sense the presences on his web is to be as close as possible to the center, otherwise the detection will be eschewed depending how far he is from the center; this does not affect his ability to ensnare people on his web. The biggest problem with this technique is that it can not be used mid-air, because the thread will fall down due to its density.

Encase Neku can either use this ability to encase his target(s) with the webbing by controlling them and wrapping the web around the target(s). If Neku uses this technique on himself, it becomes a thin yet durable layer of protection, forming an armor-like appearance if he chooses. Because of the material his thread is similar to, he cannot run at full speed if he chooses to cover himself, same to his team mate if s/he is protected by Neku. This technique is actually very versatile, as he can encase anything, even iron pipes can become strong and durable weapons if encased in his threads.
